Discover the action figures of Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks cannot be described for its plot for the good and simple reason that Twin Peaks is not a series like the others. Or rather, Twin Peaks succeeds in this paradox of being at the same time a case apart, a shooting star in the world of fiction, and a precursor of a narrative style on which many modern TV series depend today.
Indeed, at the time, before Twin Peaks appeared in the audiovisual landscape like a striking comet, the series were only episodic sitcoms which were limited to scenarios written in a hurry. It is thanks to David Lynch and his Twin Peaks that the TV series were valued. Twin Peaks was the matrix of the modern series built with a long story extended on many episodes.
And what a story. Twin Peaks takes place in a small mountain town in the north of the United States: Twin Peaks. Life there is peaceful, quiet, at least, apparently. While nothing happens in Twin Peaks; nothing is supposed to happen there, the murder of a high school girl named Laura Palmer will crack the varnish behind which the whole small town of Twin Peaks hides. In the midst of these apparently nice and uneventful characters, the dark designs and other secrets will multiply. And it is in the middle of a bath of mysteries, distrust and hypocrisies that Special Agent Dale Cooper of the FBI will evolve. Determined to solve the mystery of Laura Palmer's death, he embarks on a path from which he will not return.
Because in addition to its community full of secrets and mysteries, Twin Peaks is also plagued by supernatural forces whose origin is difficult to locate, or even to understand their intentions. A dense and mysterious plot, numerous and remarkably written characters, an iconic soundtrack and a way of filming a series worthy of a movie - which was a first at the time - Twin Peaks is all of this at once.
The Funko POP Twin Peaks collection, then, is in charge of highlighting the most emblematic characters of the series. Naturally, we will find Special Agent Dale Cooper and his absolute fascination for coffee or Laura Palmer, the one from whom everything started. A "whole" wrapped in mysticism and knotty plots linked to each other.
Indeed, one must be wary of small quiet towns, they have skeletons in the closet and closets to not know what to do with them. It is in the middle of this gloomy and ethereal environment that Dale Cooper will evolve, thus getting acquainted with a world of which he did not suspect the existence; a world which will end up taking him with the spectators of the series. A series that is among the longest in the world since season 3 of Twin Peaks will be released in 2017, exactly 25 years after season 2. Whether it concerns his work or even what surrounds him, David Lynch is never short of eccentricities.
