POP action figure of Agent Dale Cooper #448
The agent Dale Cooper was interpreted in the series Twin Peaks by Kyle McLachlan. This one is one of the fetish actors of David Lynch in the sense that the two had already collaborated for the film Dune. With Twin Peaks, McLachlan takes the title role again, this time, to play a colorful character, eccentric and yet extremely diligent in his investigations. Indeed, as an FBI agent, he was mobilized in the small town of Twin Peaks to solve the mystery surrounding the death of Laura Palmer. A mystery a little more opaque and curious as the plot unfolds.
Assisted by the sheriff and his team, Special Agent Dale Cooper will occasionally be joined by his FBI colleagues, who are also very particular. Very optimistic, always smiling or almost, Dale Cooper is like a big dynamic kid who knows how to invest himself in his investigation by using very unorthodox methods. Methods that will find a very resonant echo in the otherworldly world from which the evil he is so scrupulously searching for originates.
We will know it by following him in his adventures, but Agent Dale Cooper is addicted to coffee. One does not count any more, during the intrigue of Twin Peaks, the number of times when this one will be brought to empty whole coffeepots during these investigations. Investigations which will very often lead him to the Diner of Twin Peaks, where he will have the occasion to fill up with his favorite beverage of which he will feed himself copiously.
In spite of his bonhomie and his contagious joviality, Dale Cooper will not succeed in illuminating the diffuse darkness which surrounds the town of Twin Peaks. The murder of Laura Palmer that he investigates is actually much more than a homicide case. It will be a question of supernatural forces that are very difficult to detect and whose discovery will only lead to more drama. Dramas that will stretch Special Agent Dale Cooper's investigation to 25 years after Laura Palmer's death, after he has been introduced to the dimensional chamber of the Black Lodge.
The POP figure of Agent Dale Cooper is obviously consistent with everything that constitutes the character, both in appearance and personality. Indeed, the Dale Cooper figure, beyond what it looks like, refers to the exacerbated joviality of a character that everyone will learn to love. The positioning of the eyebrows on the POP is a perfect representation of the character's face!
Also, on POP, Dale Cooper is of course dressed as an FBI agent. He wears a suit with a red, white and black striped tie, over which he dons a beige raincoat. As a nod to the character, FUnko reminded us of Agent Dale Cooper's addiction by depicting him on this POP with a cup of coffee in his left hand, which he is inseparable from, while his right hand holds up a thumbs-up, a reference to his mythical posture.
