Corpse Bride is the stop motion animated film directed by Tim Burton and inspired by the Jewish legend of the dead bride. The story features a young man, Victor, on the eve of his arranged marriage with Victoria.
Shy and awkward, Victor ends up running away from the wedding rehearsal to take refuge in the forest. As he tries to calm himself by repeating his vows, he fakes the ring on his finger on a branch. To his surprise, the branch reveals a dead young woman, Emily, dressed in the wedding dress she was wearing when she was murdered.
Indeed, Emily had been killed a few years earlier by her suitor. Disillusioned, she sees this marriage proposal as a sign of fate and expects Victor to keep his promises. But, seeing that he struggles to return to the world of the living, Emily agrees to help him marry the woman to whom he was promised, and not to repeat the tragic fate she herself has suffered.
It was on the occasion of Funkoween in 2020, Funko's Halloween, that this animated film by Tim Burton saw its first two POPs. Funko chose to bring back to life the "dead" couple Emily and Victor through two magnificent blue-skinned POP figures. The two characters are dressed for their respective weddings: Emily in her white blue dress and Victor in his striped suit.

The first figurine of the collection came out in May 2020, it was the one of Emily while the last figurine put on sale by Funko for this series is Emily (Black Light) (which came out in October 2023). This franchise, under the licence of Warner Bros. Consumer Products doesn't include (yet) any chase figure.
