POP Victor with Scraps (Corpse Bride)

One of the main characters in the animated movie Corpse Bride, Victor's story is the story of an old Jewish legend in which a young man puts a ring in a piece of wood and sees it turn into a young woman buried a few years earlier when she was supposed to get married.

The animated film, directed by Tim Burton in stop motion, retraces the journey of Victor Van Dort, a shy and clumsy young man. He is to marry Victoria Everglot in an arranged marriage between the two families.

During the first date with his bride, and then during the wedding rehearsals, Victor is particularly uncomfortable. Panic-stricken, he flees into the forest, where he isolates himself to repeat his vows. He then passes the ring over a piece of wood resembling a finger when Emily appears. Killed a few years earlier by the man she was to marry, Emily takes this commitment seriously and takes Victor with her to the Kingdom of the Dead to live there as husband and wife.

Realizing that Victor wants to return to the world of the living, and that his disappearance has pushed his bride into the arms of Lord Barkis against her will, Emily realizes that the situation she experienced, a marriage that turned into a tragedy, is happening again. She then agrees to help Victor, freeing him from his vows, so that he can confront Lord Barkis and marry Victoria...

Victor's POP figure is just like the character: a tall and skinny young man with a feverish look, pale complexion and bulging eyes. On the figurine, he is wearing his groom's suit: a dark, striped suit with an imposing tie that Victor tries hard to tie.

One recognizes the shy and frightened face of the figure with his imposing hair with a central parting, his long eyebrows pointing down and the dark circles around his eyes.

As a little surprise of this POP, Victor is accompanied by his dog Scraps, or rather the skeleton of his dog. This very endearing mini POP even pushes the detail by keeping the Scraps collar around his neck.
