POP Hans Gruber with Hands in Pockets (Die Hard)

Hans Gruber is one of the main antagonists in the Die Hard movies. We discover him in the first part "Die Hard" as he is the mastermind of the terrorist group that planned to steal 640 million from the safe of Japanese businessman Joe Takagi.

Gruber is a former member of a German terrorist organization who is as intelligent as he is cruel. He has meticulously prepared his plan to attack Nakatomi's tower, steal the contents of his safe and disguise his death to escape quietly with the money... His plan is perfect, but he doesn't count on John McClane, a New York policeman who is in the tower at the time of the hostage taking.

Among Gruber's hostages is McClane's wife, so McClane is ready to do anything to stop the terrorists. He starts by sending Gruber a strong message by killing one of his men, Tony Vreski,, and sending his body back up the elevator!

As time goes by, Gruber's plans fall apart because of McClane. A rivalry develops between the two men and it will last until the epilogue of the film when McClane will throw Gruber from thirty floors.

Funko already offered a first POP of Hans Gruber in Die Hard, so it's a nice surprise to discover a second one. This time, the Gruber figure shows him in an outfit that shows the confidence and serenity of the terrorist: hands in the pockets.

This Hans Gruber POP figure seems to be taken from the beginning of the first Die Hard movie as the terrorists take over the Nakatomi tower. Indeed, Gruber is still wearing his gray coat over his elegant black suit.
