POP John McClane in Dark Tank (Die Hard)

John McClane is the hero of the Die Hard movies. A cliché of the tough cop who easily breaks the rules, McClane is also courageous and unpredictable. Often putting himself in dangerous situations in spite of himself, John McClane must face great threats. This is the case in the very first Die Hard movie from which this McClane POP figure is taken.

In Die Hard, John McClane goes to Los Angeles for the holidays. He wants to celebrate Christmas with his children and try to reconcile with his wife. He goes to the tower where his wife's company is having a party. Then terrorists, under the command of Hans Gruber,, enter the premises to steal the contents of the company's vaults: securities worth the modest sum of 640 million dollars...

The plan meticulously developed by Gruber is going to explode little by little because of McClane, who, although alone against a dozen terrorists, will do everything in his power to stop them. It is McClane who manages to kill all of Gruber's men one after the other, starting with Vreski, whom he delivers like a gift package tied to a wheelchair (see the Die Hard POP of Vreski tied to the chair).

With this new John McClane POP figure, Funko makes a very nice wink to Die Hard fans, and more particularly to the first movie. Indeed, the figure perfectly reproduces the features of Bruce Willis who plays the character, but especially because Funko has represented McClane running, gun in hand. The most important detail of the POP? McClane's bloody feet since he is barefoot. Gruber, who noticed this detail, ordered to shoot at all the glass windows, forcing McClane to run barefoot on broken glass to escape... Just looking at the POP, we feel bad for him, proof that the effect is successful!

Finally, all the other aspects of McClane's figure are very faithful to the character: his black tank top, his haircut that lets us see the beginning of his baldness, his bloody face and his very determined look.
