McClane is a New York policeman, who went to Nakatomi's party for which his wife works. Determined to reconcile with his wife, John had not foreseen what would happen. While changing in a room away from the party, he witnesses the hostage situation and sets out to foil the plans of Gruber and his men.

Hans Gruber is as elegant as he is Machiavellian, he does not hesitate to kill in cold blood on several occasions in Die Hard, starting with the execution of Joe Takagi. Nevertheless, the one who seems to have planned everything, will gradually decompose in front of the upheavals caused by John McClane!
