POP Roman Sionis (Chase) (Birds of Prey)

Roman Sionis aka Black Mask is the main antagonist in Birds of Prey. A cruel and self-centered character, he perfectly embodies the role of the almighty leader of the Gotham Mafia. He intimidates his enemies, does not fear the police and does not hesitate to assassinate in the greatest suffering all those who might dare to go against him.

In Birds of Prey, Sionis is in search of a precious diamond. When he manages to get his hands on it, his right arm is nevertheless robbed by a teenage pickpocket. Unknowingly, Cassandra Cain has robbed the most dangerous man in Gotham, starting a real war.

Harley Quinn, threatened by Roman Sionis since he knows that she is no longer under the protection of the Joker since their break-up, is then forced to join forces with other "superheroes" and form the Birds of Prey to protect young Cassandra and neutralize Black Mask. In the group, we thus find Harley Quinn who tries to save her life, detective Renée Montoya freshly fired from the police force and who wants to take advantage of it to settle his accounts with Sionis, Black Canary who tries to escape from the grip of his monstrous boss and Huntress who comes back to avenge his family by killing those responsible for their murder, ... The gang is all the more unlikely as each has a strong character and a unique motivation, but by joining forces they will succeed in bringing down Roman Zionis, the most dangerous man in Gotham.

For this new POP action figure featuring Black Mask, Funko offers an exceptional Chase version of the character. Contrary to the original version where Sionis wears his white costume, he is dressed in a black and gold costume for this version.

We find the character with a dark look, holding a hand in his pocket. He wears black gloves and his tailor-made costume with animal head patterns fits the eccentricity of the character.
