POP Harley Quinn Black Mask Club (Birds of Prey)

Harley Quinn, whose real name is Harleen Quinzel, is the main character in the film derived from the DC Birds of Prey universe. The film tells the story of the Joker's girlfriend as the two lovebirds and allies in crime have just broken up. This rupture is painful for Harley, sincerely in love with the Joker, and who will have to learn how to emancipate himself and take his independence.

His breakup with the Joker also means the Joker's protection will be lifted. As soon as the news spreads throughout Gotham, Harley sees dozens of criminals arrive, eager to take revenge on her. Of all these threats, the most significant is that of Roman Sionis, one of Gotham's greatest criminals. His right-hand man Zsasz manages to convince him that he must get rid of Harley and the young woman negotiates to bring him the diamond he has coveted for years in exchange for his life.

This famous diamond has been inadvertently stolen by Cassandra Cain, a teenage girl who tries to survive by picking the pockets of passers-by on the street. Harley finds Cassandra but quickly understands that Zionis will kill her anyway... She has no choice but to join three other women in a fierce fight against Black Mask.

The quartet, named Birds of Prey, in homage to Sionis who sees women as her little birds, is composed of Harley Quinn, Black Canary, Huntress and Detective Montoya. Each one has her own motivations but all converge towards a single target: Roman Sionis. They join forces in an epic battle against the mercenaries of Zionis and succeed in saving Cassandra and eliminating one of Gotham's greatest crime lords.

For this new Harley Quinn POP in Birds of Prey, Funko pays tribute to the young woman in one of the most personal passages of the film: when she drowns her heartache in alcohol while attending the posh club in Zionis.

Harley is therefore dressed in an evening gown, albeit in eccentric colours that suit the young woman: blue-white-red striped trousers, red and blue bra, white boots with heels and a silver sequined jacket. Her face suggests that she is not in her normal state with reddened eyes and her attitude hints at her malaise. She holds one hand around her hip while she sips a glass of alcohol in the other...

Funko didn't leave out any details, recalling the little heart-shaped tattoo she has under her right eye and the little piercings on her left eyebrow. The POP figure is straight from one of the first scenes of the movie Birds of Prey where we understand that Harley Quinn is in total depression.
