Funko brings a touch of retro to the POP Basketball set, with exceptional 8-bit duo-packs that look like they came straight out of our old consoles.
Nostalgia guaranteed for those who spent hours on the basketball courts of their mega drive, Nintendo or PC... Taken from the NBA Jam games franchise, these POPs are perfect for both NBA and video game fans!

Over the years, NBA Jam has become a true cultural phenomenon, inspiring adaptations on numerous video game platforms.
Its legacy endures thanks to its timeless gameplay, unique style and lasting impact on the video game industry and popular culture... Whether for quick games with friends or nostalgia sessions, NBA Jam continues to burn with an eternal flame in the hearts of gamers the world over.
Funko has made no mistake in setting its sights on the NBA Jam franchise, and has made a particularly good job of the experience by offering 8-Bit POPs in a new version, with smoother facial expressions but retaining the retro look.
For this announcement, Funko used all the right ingredients and codes to score points:
- duo-packs for pre-match player selection;
- 8-bit versions for retro gaming;
- details ranging from flaming balls to acrobatic dunks!
Funko has unveiled the first three duo-packs featuring the stars of 3 NBA teams:
- Dennis Rodman & Isiah Thomas in the colors of the Detroit Pistons ;
- Shawn Kemp & Gary Payton for the Seattle SuperSonics ;
- Karl Malone & John Stockton for the Los Angeles Lakers.
It's a no-brainer for Funko, who will delight NBA fans by bringing a touch of nostalgia to their shelves. What's more (although there's no official word), we can expect to see other iconic duos in the future.

NBA Jam is an arcade basketball video game that has captivated gamers the world over since its initial release in 1993. Developed by Midway and published by Acclaim, this iconic game offers a frenetic and exhilarating arcade basketball experience, featuring NBA stars in action-packed two-on-two matches and spectacular dunks.
NBA Jam's concept is simple yet extremely addictive: players choose from a selection of the NBA's biggest stars, then battle it out on the court in fast-paced, intense matches.
What makes NBA Jam so special is its highly arcade-like gameplay, where players can perform acrobatic aerial dunks, fiery three-point shots and sensational blocks with incredible speed and fluidity.
