The Smurfs is a comic strip by the author Peyo first published in 1958. The comic tells the story of a colony of little blue characters, The Smurfs, living in a community in a village where all the houses are mushrooms.

If they live happily in their village in the middle of the forest, the Smurfs must regularly face a threat: the wizard Gargamel (accompanied by his cat Azrael) who wants to capture them and use them to make a philosopher's stone... With each new episode, the Smurfs must use all their cunning to thwart Gargamel's Machiavellian plans and escape certain death!

One of the peculiarities of the Smurfs (in addition to their atypical blue physique) is their language. Indeed, if the language of the Smurfs is similar to natural language, they have an unfortunate tendency to place the word "Smurf" a little everywhere in the sentences, participating enormously in the comedy of situation...

The success of the Smurfs is such that the license was declined on different media in addition to the 39 albums of the Peyo comic book. It has of course movies released in the cinema, animated series broadcasted on television, many books but also songs, video games or even an amusement park attraction.

So it was only natural that Funko would look into this license that has cradled the childhood of several generations! For the occasion, the brand pays tribute to the main characters, including a few Smurfs like Papa Smurf or the Smurfette, but also to the two "bad guys" with a POP of Gargamel and Azrael.
