Edward is at the centre of Tim Burton's masterpiece Edward The Silver Hand. Invented by a slightly mad genius, Edward is a robot in human form. He has a brain to think and a heart to love. Nevertheless, its designer died before completing it, precisely on the day he wanted to give it his hands. Instead, Edward possesses scissors and blades, severely handicapping him...

Discovered by Tinka Boggs, who offers him to come and live with his family, Edward gradually learns about community life. He goes from being a curious fairground beast to a valued friend using his differences to render many services to the neighborhood.

Soon, Edward trimmed the hedges, groomed the animals, cut his hair, etc. He was soon able to do a lot of things for his family. He becomes a small celebrity, known for turning anything that is cut or trimmed into a work of art. Until the day the community pushed him away again. Edward accidentally hurts Kevin by throwing himself while the boy is about to be hit by a van. Forced to flee and hide, Edward is pursued by Kim's ex-boyfriend, Jim. The two men fight and Edward fatally wounds Jim while trying to protect Kim . Kim will lie to cover up for her friend by claiming that Edward also died in the fight.

Edward and Kim's lives end haunted by memories. Edward continues to trim the hedges in the castle garden and carve beautiful ice statues every winter, making snow fall on the small town and reminding Kim that he is still there...

For this Deluxe POP by Edward Scissorhands, we find the young man as he has just carved a dinosaur-shaped bush. It's one of his first creations in the Boggs' garden where he was welcomed. His talent will later earn him a place in the city where he will be asked to prune hedges and bushes!

On the POP figurine, Edward is dressed in the clothes he borrowed from family father Bill Boggs, they are a little too large for him but give him a style a little less austere than his black suit that you can still guess underneath the clothes. He wears a white shirt, brown trousers and straps to hold his oversized trousers.

Funko didn't leave out any details for this POP of Edward Scissorhands: the pale face of the young man, the scars on his face because of the many cuts and even the right strap which is "patched" because Edward accidentally cut it while putting on his new clothes!

This POP figure of Edward is a beautiful nod to Tim Burton's masterpiece, one of the scenes that started Edward's integration into the community and is reminiscent of the beautiful castle garden where Edward trims all the bushes using his blades with dexterity.
