POP Edward in dress clothes (Edward Scissorhands)

Edward is the central character in the 1990 film Edward Scissorhands directed by Tim Burton. The result of an inventor's creation, Edward was not finished and has blades and knives instead of hands. Having always lived in isolation, his physique is not the only atypical element since Edward's behaviour is also very strange!

Edward integrates well into the community. Gathered by the Boggs family, he discovers friendship and gradually opens up. He falls completely in love with Kim, who, although she is rather afraid of him at first, ends up finding him endearing...

Contrary to what one might think, Edward integrates thanks to his difference. He is soon solicited by the whole neighbourhood to trim the hedges, groom the animals and will even become the talented hairdresser that all the women are tearing out.

Things get worse when Edward agrees, out of love for Kim, to rob her boyfriend's father's house. Edward is arrested by the police and the look on other people's faces changes him back to being abnormal...

The drama occurs when Jim, jealous of Kim's love for Edward, decides to attack him. To protect Kim, Edward will end up killing Jim by stabbing him in the chest with his blade. To protect him in return, Kim will say that Edward also died in the struggle...

Funko makes a nice nod to the film Edward Scissorhands by depicting him on in POP in the outfit given by Tinka, therefore with "normal" clothes (although dating from the time the story takes place!), which Edward puts on over his black suit with the greatest evil.

On the POP figure, Edward is wearing the clothes borrowed from the family's father Bill Boggs. He's wearing a white shirt and oversized brown trousers that he holds on to with straps, the right one of which has been "patched up" after Edward has cut it!

On Edward's POP, we can guess the young man, a little more smiling despite his sad look, proud to be wearing clothes for the first time. We find the "gothic" physique of the character played by Johnny Depp with his very pale face and his brown hair completely mismatched. Edward's hands are represented with iron blades and scissors of a shiny grey colour giving a very successful effect to the figurine.

Finally, Funko did not omit any detail for this Edward's POP by representing the scars on the young man's face or by letting the black suit that can be guessed in the opening of the shirt appear.
