POP Edward Scissorhands (Edward Scissorhands)

Edward is the main character in the film directed by Tim Burton Edward Scissorhands. Edward is the brainchild of a living genius who is trapped in a castle. He creates Edward as a real young man with a brain to understand and a heart to love. Unfortunately the inventor dies before finishing his work and Edward keeps scissors and blades as a hand. He remains hidden from the world until the day Tinka Boggs, a home saleswoman, dares to go to the castle.

She takes him in despite the mixed feelings of her husband and children, who remain distrustful and shocked by the young man's strange attitude... Nevertheless, Edward learns to integrate into the community and uses his scissors as a talent. At first to trim the Boggs' hedges, then the whole neighbourhood before becoming a pet groomer and finally a hairdresser!

Everything changes when, after accidentally injuring Kim, Edward runs away, convinced that he has no place in this world because he is too different... To protect Kim, Edward fatally wounds Jim. She will tell others that Edward died in the struggle to protect him, but leaves Edward to pursue a life of total caring, animated by his memories of Kim...

Edward's POP action figure is just like the character. Funko has chosen to represent Edward on this POP in his daily outfit that he wears before Tinka collects him. This all-black outfit accentuates the atypical side of the character, giving him a gothic look that contrasts with the pale complexion of the young man!

Funko represented the many details of the suit on the Edward Scissorhands figurine. You can see the many rings that make up the outfit, his belt and his imposing black shoes.

Edward's physique, in the guise of Johnny Depp who plays the character, is very recognizable: his very white face, his tangled brown hair, his sad eyes and his sheepish look. Of course, the most striking physical detail are the scissors and blades that replace Edward's hands... They are perfectly represented on the POP!

Finally, Funko did not omit any detail by recalling the scars on Edward's face which are cut many times or the black lips and eye contour making the character even more "gothic".
