POP Doctor Strange Astral (Translucent) (Doctor Strange)

Doctor Strange is the eponymous hero of the Marvel opus "Doctor Strange". His name is Stephen Strange, he is one of the most talented neurosurgeons and his life is turned upside down by a car accident that leaves him with irreversible after-effects.

After his accident, Strange falls into a depression where he loses everything: his job, his rich material possessions and even the love of his life. He clings to only one hope: to heal with a Nepalese community that masters the mystical arts.

So he travels to Nepal to meet this community, which he manages to find. The spiritual master, the "Ancient One", is reluctant to teach him magic, seeing in him a man with great potential, but also a man capable of switching to the forces of evil, as was the case with a former Kaecilius disciple.

The Ancient One nevertheless agrees to make Doctor Strange his disciple. The latter turns out to be very talented, he progresses rapidly and is passionate about magic with greed. Although a beginner, he proves to be extremely useful in repelling Kaecilius during the attack on the shrine. Indeed, Kaecilius wishes to destroy the shrine in order to call the demon Dormammu to Earth wishing that the latter would offer him immortality in exchange for the planet.

In the final confrontation, Doctor Strange is no match for Dormammu. Nevertheless, he will trap him using a trick and locking him in a time loop thanks to the relic of Agamotto's eye which turns out to be one of the stones of infinity coveted by Thanos! When Dormammu finds himself trapped, the demon begs Doctor Strange to free him. The latter accepts on the sole condition that Dormammu retreats and leaves Earth alone...

This Doctor Strange POP action figure is a nice tribute to the character. In "translucent" version, it symbolizes the astral state of Doctor Strange when his soul separates from his body. This figurine, entirely yellow, sparkles under the glitter giving a very successful effect to the POP.

We find Strange standing, dressed in his disciple's outfit and wearing his levitation cloak. We recognize the face and features of actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Stephen Strange with his gray hair and small cut goatee.
