POP Doctor Strange without cape (Doctor Strange)

Doctor Strange, full name Dr. Stephen Strange, is a gifted neurosurgeon who has done it all. Recognized as one of the best in his discipline, he is as gifted as he is arrogant and dismissive of others. His life was tragically turned upside down in a car accident that left irreversible after-effects. He sinks into a total depression, losing everything: his job, his luxury cars, his beautiful New York apartment and his lifelong love...

Stephen Strange clings to a single hope of healing and travels to Nepal to meet wise mystics with supernatural powers. He meets Mordo who leads him to the "Ancient One", the master who teaches them this magic. The Ancient One is skeptical of Stephen, seeing him as a desperate man in search of power. This strangely reminds him of the path taken by Kaecilius, a former disciple now turned to evil ...

Doctor Strange succeeds in convincing the Ancient One and begins his apprenticeship. Very gifted, he progresses quickly thanks to his intelligence and curiosity. In spite of his arrogance and pragmatism, he gradually lets his mind accept phenomena that they would previously have judged as "paranormal".

Doctor Strange learns that Kaecilius is attacking the sanctuaries protecting the Earth in order to summon the demon Dormammu. He agrees to fight with the other disciples and the Ancient to protect the planet. In this battle, the Ancient One is mortally wounded by Kaecilius and Kaecilius' threat grows stronger and stronger.

To defeat the demon, Dr. Strange uses the powers of Agamotto's eye, a relic for controlling time, and locks Dormammu into a time loop. Dormammu kills Doctor Strange, but the time loop repeats the situation over and over again. If Strange suffers each time, Dormammu goes mad at being trapped and begs him to release him. Doctor Strange agrees on the one condition that Dormammu leaves Earth.

Funko pays tribute to this Marvel hero with a POP in his effigy. The Doctor Strange figure represents him in his disciple's outfit: blue tunic, dark pants and rope belts. He also wears the relic of Agamotto's eye around his neck.

On this POP figurine of Doctor Strange, we can recognize perfectly the features of Benedict Cumberbatch, the actor who plays the hero. We find his brown hair with a few grayish locks on the sides, his small well-cut goatee and his frowning eyebrows.

Finally, for this POP, Funko chose to represent Doctor Strange without his levitation cape. He simply stands up, making a mischievous sign of the horns with his hands, all the more a "rock" effect to the character!
