POP Kingpin (Echo)

The Kingpin is a super-villain in the Marvel universe. As head of the New York underworld, he is the emblematic enemy of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. But he's also the main antagonist of the Echo series from which this POP figure is taken - and it's through his paternal relationship with Maya Lopez that we learn more about the character's origins.

From his tormented childhood with an abusive father to the head of New York crime, the Kingpin certainly deserves a series in his likeness too (perhaps Marvel is thinking about it?). In any case, the character is particularly present in each episode. From Maya's surrogate father to an enemy bent on her destruction, the episodes revolve around the two characters' complex relationship - not unlike that of Gamora and Thanos, by the way...

His imposing build, shaved head, cold stare, etc. leave no doubt that this is the POP of Kingpin. Funko has chosen to represent the character in a very special scene from the Echo series, since it marks the "grand return" of the character who was thought to be dead...

In fact, Funko has depicted the Kingpin in his purple suit, with a little yellow striped shirt underneath - a welcome change from his white suit, which he's quick to stain with the blood of those he beats up! Kingpin's POP shows him with his eye damaged (by Maya) and on which Fisk has placed a device akin to the glasses that enable him to understand sign language.

Shown holding his hands, this Funko POP is taken from the scene where the Kingpin goes to Tamaha to ask Maya Lopez to come back to his side.

This Funko POP lives up to the character's potential, with the upcoming Daredevil series and the post-generic scene from the Echo series suggesting that the Kingpin is about to run for mayor of New York...
