In The Batman, Selina Kyle appears in the scene where she works as a waitress in the nightclub of Oswald Cobblepot aka the Penguin. This job is a way for her to get close to the mobster as she prepares to rob him of the proceeds of his drug trade. Her plans are thwarted when her best friend and roommate, who also works at the club, is mysteriously kidnapped. In an attempt to find her, she teams up with Batman, both of whom want to make the Penguin talk.

But Selina can't save her friend. Finding her body in the Penguin's trunk, she is determined to get revenge. The vigilante will have to use diplomacy to dissuade her from stooping to the level of the murderers...
