It's to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album Hybrid Theory by the band Linkin Park that Funko revealed the 4th POP! Albums. After Notorious B.I.G for Ready to Die’s POP, Back in Black by AC/DC, Black Sabbath and its eponymous album, it's now Linkin Park's turn to see its album POPified!
It's a return to the origins for the rock / metal band with this POP in the effigy of their very first album: Hybrid Theory, released in 2000. First album and first HUGE success since it will be diamond disc and is part of the best-selling albums of the 21st century.
Faithful to the concept, this new POP takes the cover of the album. We find in POP the winged soldier which appears on it, and which for the anecdote, was drawn by Mike Shinoda himself. The red and white soldier, has dragonfly wings and holds a flag in his hand? According to Chester Bennington, he is the symbol of the hard and soft mix of the band's music, expressed by the hardness of the soldier's look and the fragility of the wings.
The bottom of the box features the other elements of the cover, including the inscriptions which are excerpts from the lyrics of the different songs.
