Funko continues to build on the highly anticipated release of the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy by unveiling new POPs featuring the characters. For this announcement, the novelty lies in the type of POP since Funko has declined the set in a "Blacklight" version, the figurines that glow under the effect of black light.
With this new announcement, the Funko POP Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 already includes more than twenty POPs, 22 figures to be exact, including of course most of the main characters, starting with the team led by Star-Lord: Groot, Rocket, Drax, Mantis and of course Cosmo!
The Blacklight POPs are special figures that react under the effect of black light. They are reproductions of the original POPs, except for the coating and the colors which are more "flashy" for a very successful artistic effect.
For this announcement, Funko has unveiled 5 Black light POPs:
- POP #1240 of Star-Lord
- POP #1241 of Rocket
- POP #1242 of Groot
- POP #1243 of Drax
- And finally the duo-pack Nebula & Mantis
The movie, scheduled for May 2023, is highly anticipated and will complete the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. The crew led by Star-Lord will go on adventures and will have to face super villains like Ayesha the priestess of the Sovereigns or Rocket's creator (Adam Warlock) determined to get back his creation...
