Scrubs

Medical series are multiplying by the dozen. However, there are some that are so legendary that they present themselves as standards to which all those that follow them refer. Standards that are sometimes difficult to reach because the content is so original.

Without being the first medical series that exists, Scrubs was one of the pioneers of the genre by adding such a special personal touch that it easily distinguishes itself from others. Forget then about ER where the seriousness of tone is omnipresent or Grey's Anatomy and its romantic stories galore. Scrubs is a medical series that knows how to center itself around humor without ever neglecting the hospital aspect of its theme.

Contrary to many series where we follow confirmed doctors in their practice, Scrubs focuses on the core group of J.D, Turk and Elliot, three young interns in medicine and surgery. They will encounter a whole new world in which we will be immersed with them. Also, during the 9 seasons of the series, the spectators will learn to evolve with them. We will know them as clumsy interns to see them, season after season, become accomplished doctors recognized by their peers.

But beyond their personal trajectories, it is especially their funny antics that will make the salt of this so prodigious series. The gags are legion and depend on an original humor to say the least. Between J.D.'s repeated fantasies, Dr. Cox's sarcastic and piquant remarks, Dr. Kelso's inhumanity or the janitor's harassment, hundreds of pretexts for laughter will appear in each episode. This does not prevent the series from having poignant dramatic plots. The hospital environment is often prey to death and this one does not fail to tint the series with tragic moments that will mark the spectators.

Laughter, emotion, but not only. Scrubs is also about characters. Its main cast, of course, but also secondary. Whether it's the pathetic and suicidal lawyer, the mediocre intern who finds his way in the morgue, the heavy-handed sex-obsessed surgeon among other prominent figures, Scrubs is full of hilarious characters who, even for the most self-effacing, will also experience a personal evolution.

The series does not rest on its laurels and often decides to innovate. We will often find particularly daring and original episodes in terms of realization and narration. Even going so far as to produce a musical episode. The episodes can, without warning, surprise you by their turn and their conclusion. That's why fans of the series will be delighted to find their favorite characters among the Funko POP Scrubs figures available.
