Discover the action figures of Asterix

Asterix is the famous comic strip depicting a village of die-hard Gauls refusing to submit to the Roman Empire led by Julius Caesar. The comic strip, whose scenario is that of RenΓ© Goscinny and the illustrations by cartoonist Albert Uderzo, has also been adapted into films and video games.

The story takes place in 50 BC and everything starts in the small Gallic village of Armorique where these Gauls, led by Asterix and Obelix, fight against the invader with the help of a secret weapon: the magic potion that increases their strength tenfold.

The fortified village is animated by a whole self-sufficient community, each one exercising his profession and ready to stop everything to defend the village in case of an attack by the Roman soldiers. Among them, some characters have a more important role, such as the druid who makes the magic potion. When they go into battle, all the Gauls take a sip and see their strength increase tenfold. All of them? Except Obelix, who, despite his kidney, is forbidden the potion since he fell into the pot as a child and the effects of the potion are permanent on him.

If the story takes place on the coast of present-day Brittany, Asterix and Obelix will take us all over the world, especially where the Roman Empire was extending its influence. Thus, the adventures of the two Gauls will take us from Gaul to Egypt via the Swiss mountains or the Spanish sun.

The Asterix the Gaul saga, which includes some forty albums, features many characters with a very endearing character. Among them, the ingenious dog Dogmatix, the wise druid Panoramix, the misunderstood artist Asterix the Gaulish village chief Abraracourix, and not forgetting the Roman emperor Julius Caesar himself!

Unfortunately for fans, the POPs Funko collection currently only offers a very limited series of figurines featuring Gallic heroes. So you'll only find the Asterix and Obelix figurines... For your comfort, you can get both heroes in a multipack!
