Luther Hargreaves is one of seven siblings at the Umbrella Academy. The one who is also called Spaceboy was named number 1 by Sir Reginald Hargreaves, giving him the position of leader of the superhero gang.

Umbrella Academy is the series produced by Netflix whose main plot begins with unexplained births on October 1, 1989. The common point? Their mother was not pregnant a few minutes before the birth ... Each of her children has a special ability, and seven of them are adopted by a wealthy explorer Sir Reginald Hargreaves. His ambition is to educate and train these children to use their exceptional abilities for good.

The days at the Umbrella Academy thus alternate between training and missions. Their father's education is strict but the seven children can count on the affection of their mother Grace (a human-looking robot created by their father) and Pogo, a genetically modified chimpanzee who works as a butler.

Luther is the most diligent and serious. While Diego is rebellious, Klaus is terrified, and Number 5 disappears by accident, Luther is the one who respects as closely as possible the framework set by their father. He accepts each of the missions entrusted to the Umbrella Academy without even questioning himself. Unfortunately, Ben's death on one of these missions will cause the siblings to explode, and Luther will remain the one and only member loyal to his father.

Sent on a mission alone, and despite his superhuman strength, Luther is the victim of an accident. Sir Hargreeves saves his life by injecting him with a serum that appears to contain animal DNA. Luther survives but his body is forever deformed... He is disproportionately strong and has an extremely hairy torso. Thinking to protect him from the world, his father sends him on a mission to the Moon where he will remain isolated for four years, returning to Earth when he learns of his death ...

In spite of the many disagreements of the members of the Umbrella Academy and their distance during years, Luther kept his place of "number 1". He is listened to by others and finds the support of Allison and Vanya.

Funko offers a POP figure of Luther from the Umbrella Academy very faithful to the character, both physically but also in his clothing. Taken from the first season of the series, the POP of Luther represents him as he is: a big strong man who seems much more shy and fragile than his size lets him think!

On the figurine, Luther wears his loose clothing to hide him as much as possible: a gray turtleneck t-shirt, brown pants, a thick green coat and black mittens. His outfit covers his body almost entirely to conceal his animal hair, leaving only his fingers and face visible.
