Leorio Paradinaito is one of the main characters of the manga (and animated series) Hunter x Hunter. He appeared in the very first episodes. Leorio is a medical student and joined the Hunters alongside Gon, Killua and Kurapika.

Reputed to be very narcissistic and selfish, Leorio became Hunter for profit, but we learn more about his true personality when Leorio reveals to Kurapika that he sincerely wants to become a doctor to help those in need. This vocation comes from the loss of a close friend who died of an illness and whom Leorio regrets not being able to save due to a lack of means for the operation.
