POP Ken Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul)

Ken Kaneki is the main character of the manga and anime series Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re. He is a young student leading a peaceful life in his first year of Japanese Literature at Kamii University. Until the day when a terrible accident happens to him. Ken is attacked by a ghoul that pierces his organs in his stomach. Fortunately, he is saved by a falling metal beam that kills the ghoul instantly. The young student in a critical state has the ghoul's organs transplanted at the hospital so that he can survive, becoming an artificial ghoul in spite of himself.

Before becoming a half ghoul, Ken was a rather solitary and reserved young man having only one friend named Hideyoshi Nagachika whom he calls "Hide". He is a deeply kind young boy who prefers to be hurt rather than to hurt others. He was fond of literature and spent his free time reading. However, after his operation, he gradually changes, suffering from not seeing himself as a normal human and seeing himself as a monster. Indeed, he can't eat as he used to, Ken has to feed on blood and human flesh like all ghouls to survive. Later, Kaneki Ken will be hired by a café called "L'Antique" where "nice" ghouls live and work. They will teach him to accept himself as he is and to live peacefully as a ghoul.

As for his abilities as a ghoul, Kaneki is more powerful than any "pure-blooded" ghoul because of his crossbreeding. He has superhuman strength and speed as well as a huge regeneration capacity. Ken, like all ghouls, fights with "Kagunes". Ken's kagune is scaly and has a form of several tentacles that he controls like his own limbs, allowing him to defend himself and attack his enemies.

Through this POP figure, Funko represents the main protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul, Kaneki Ken. This POP is faithful to the character of the anime series, we see Ken with white half-length hair and his famous red ghoul eye. He is dressed in a black jacket and black pants. He also wears a leather ghoul mask hiding his right human eye. His mask has a large mouth without lips, revealing his teeth, wearing a big sly smile, closed by a zipper. On this figure, Ken is in an attack position, we can see him with his 4 fire kagunes and by the fact that he cracks his fingers, a tic referring to Yakumo Oomori also known as Jason of the 13th district who does it when he has to get down to business.
