POP Joyce Byers with lights (Stranger Things)

Joyce is Jonathan and Will's mother. She is at the centre of the plot from the first episodes of Stranger Things since it is her son, Will, who mysteriously disappears. From then on, she won't stop putting everything in place to try to find him, even if it makes her look like a madwoman. Convinced that her son is not dead, she sets out to find him at the risk of her life, without knowing what is really going on.

Fortunately, she is supported in her search by her childhood friend, Police Chief Jim Hopper. If Hopper is sceptical and sincerely thinks that Joyce is rambling when she tells him about the strange things that have been happening in her house since Will's disappearance, he gradually becomes convinced until he himself is confronted with these strange facts.

Joyce Byers is the typical character of the separated mother who is struggling in a shabby and underpaid job. She tries to educate her two boys as best she can by living modestly. With her ex-husband Lonnie being of no help to her...

After her son's disappearance, Joyce puts all her energy into finding him and gets carried away in a kind of burn-out: she no longer sleeps for fear of missing a signal from her son, she destroys part of her house and becomes easily irritable.

On Joyce Byers' POP action figure, we can see this distressing situation Joyce is in on her face. She has tousled hair, red eyes and tired features. Between sadness and depression, the POP pays tribute to the difficult passage of the mother whose hope of finding her son alive is dwindling day by day.

In the figurine, Joyce stands upright. She is wearing brown velvet pants, a small leather jacket and a red and yellow striped t-shirt. Her look, straight out of the 80s, is very faithful to the series. As a nod to the first season of Stranger Things, Funko represented as the only accessory a Christmas garland in Joyce's hands. Joyce is convinced that Will is trying to communicate with her via the electrical system. So she robs the little shop where she works by buying all the lights, and then puts them on the walls by writing letters so that Will can communicate with her more easily!
