Mike Wheeler is the leader of the little band of friends featured in the Netflix Stanger Things series. Together with Dustin, Lucas and Will, he spends his days and evenings playing board games and doing geeky projects like hosting a pirate radio station. The little troupe is naturally a bit apart from the other kids at their school but the four of them are bound together by a very strong friendship.

The plot of Stranger Things begins at a game night for the four friends in the basement of Mike's house. When they have to leave each other to ride their bikes home, Will mysteriously disappears. From that moment on, the small town of Hawkins is the victim of more and more strange facts, all of which seem to be related to Hawkins National Laboratory...

Shattered by the disappearance of his friend, Mike doesn't want to believe he's dead and leads Lucas and Dustin on an incredible adventure in search of the 4th member of their group. While searching for Will, they meet a strange young girl: Eleven. Mike quickly understands that she is linked to Will's disappearance and protects Eleven by hiding her in his house. Despite her differences, Eleven will quickly join the small group and will be of great help in finding Will.

It is Mike's curiosity and imagination that greatly advances the investigation. He doesn't lose hope of bringing his friend back safe and sound and is very open to paranormal phenomena, which allows him to make important discoveries, including understanding the existence of a parallel world where Will is trapped: the upside down world. Fearless, he doesn't hesitate to face dangers in the face of the Demogorgon threat or the armed men in the lab who want to get Eleven back at all costs. Sometimes Mike Wheeler will even ruin his lifelong friendships despite the best of intentions. Finally, he knows how to give his trust and this is what will allow him to establish a special relationship with Eleven very quickly.

This POP figure by Mike Wheeler presents the young man in an outfit and posture straight out of the first season of Stranger Things. We find Mike with his haircut and his very "80's" look. Indeed, Mike is wearing a striped polo shirt, green velvet pants and his little brown jacket.

We recognize the face of the character of Strange Things with his "badly coiffed" haircut and his small freckles on his cheeks. His bright eyes are a testament to the young boy's fearlessness and curiosity.

Finally, on the accessories side, Funko pays a nice tribute to Mike Wheeler's character by depicting him with his backpack that he often carries and especially his walkie-talkie that he uses to communicate with his friends, especially with Lucas who lives a few blocks away from his house. It is via this same walkie-talkie that Onze will allow him to hear Will and to realize that the latter is still alive.
