POP Te Fiti (Moana)

Te Fiti is the creative goddess in the Disney cartoon Moana (Vaiana in French). The story is based on the traditional Polynesian legend according to which the goddess Te Fiti created all the Polynesian islands thanks to her magical heart, the jade stone much coveted by other creatures. After the creation of the islands, she lay down to rest, taking herself the shape of an island in the archipelago. Life was alive on the islands, nature had taken its place, food was everywhere. But one day, a Maui demigod decided to come to the island of Te Fiti to steal her heart and give it to men. Without his heart the goddess disintegrates and the balance of life in the archipelago is upset. The demon Te Ka tries to steal Te Fiti's heart in Maui, and in their fight, the demigod loses his magic hook and the stone in the ocean. Then several thousand years later, the island begins to die, and life around it has become impossible. It will be the fate of Moana, chief of a Polynesian tribe on the island of Motunui, to restore the heart of Te Fiti to restore balance. Indeed, the ocean chose her to accomplish this mission when she was a baby since Te Fiti's heart presented itself to her while she was collecting shells. In her adventures Moana will be accompanied by the Maui demigod who has found his magic hook. But before being able to return Te Fiti's heart, Moana and Maui must face the terrible volcanic demon Te Ka who blocks the passage to Te Fiti's island. By throwing the stone through Te Ka, we discover that this monster is actually Te Fiti, enraged by the loss of her heart. Te Fiti then regains its smile and brings back the balance on the archipelago. We then discover that it is a representation of an island.

On this Pop! figurine, she is all green with her long dress and her hair made of grass and a kind of vegetal carpet composed of flowers of all colors. Her skin is also green and she wears a vegetal wreath covered with pink, red and purple flowers, to remind the Polynesian fashion. She is represented with open arms that marks the opening and cohabitation of man with nature. Her posture contrasts with the Te Ka figurine, she is here very soothed, with a very benevolent and gentle face, what a beautiful symbol of nature!
