POP Alphonse Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)

The least we can say is that Alphonse Elric's appearance is rather atypical. Indeed, although he is the younger of the two Elric brothers, he is much larger than his older brother, who has a lot of complexes related to his size. And for good reason, Alphonse Elric occupies an armor of more than two meters high. He does not occupy it because he is covered in it, but because he IS the armor.

This rather peculiar situation was induced by alchemy. At least by an accident, which was then the driving force behind the Elric brothers' quest. When they were much younger, they tried to bring their mother back to life but the experiment was disastrous. While Edward Elric lost only an arm and a leg, Alphonse lost his entire body. In a last effort to keep his brother's soul from fading, Edward sealed it in the first container he could find: a suit of armor in their basement.

Since that day, Alphonse Elric has been nothing more than a suit of armor unable to move under his own power. An empty armor in which his young boy's voice resounds. While Edward may have become a state alchemist, Alphonse holds no title attaching him to the army. However, he always accompanies his brother on their exciting and dangerous adventures.

It must be said that an empty suit of armor has its advantages. Even when his head is removed, Alphonse remains alive! He can't be hurt as long as no one damages the seal that links his soul to the armor. He uses this armor more or less judiciously, sometimes collecting many cats inside, much to his brother's displeasure.

The quest of the Elric brothers is to make sure that Alphonse will one day find his original body, this one still existing in a separate dimension whose access would be allowed by the philosopher's stone they are desperately looking for.

The Funko POP figure of Alphonse Elric represents the character not in his original human form, but enclosed in the armor in which his soul is found. The POP of Alphonse is therefore particularly imposing by its size and its scope, the armor being particularly voluminous ...

Looking at the Funko POP Alphonse Elric, we can understand why many passers-by think he is the Fullmetal Alchemist although this title is actually his brother's. Indeed, Alphonse's armor is entirely metallic with spikes located at the joints and on his forehead to make it more threatening.

As the only clothing, Alphonse Elric wears on this POP a loincloth attached to a belt to cover the opening between the thighs of the armor. Finally, we can see on the helmet of the figure a mouth drawn in the form of teeth. This one, then, gives an almost cute and endearing aspect to a gigantic and imposing armor that incites respect and terror to anyone who looks at it!
