POP Grand Wizard Cartman (The Stick of Truth) (South Park)

Appearing during the famous Black Friday trilogy, Cartman, in his grand wizard version, has, as usual, made a mark with his improbable antics. The Black Friday trilogy, in fact, mixed contemporary absurdities - and in particular the console war between Microsoft and Sony - with parodies of Game of Thrones. It was then a question of plots and betrayals, each more improbable than the other, in a parody in three episodes that only Trey Parker and Matt Stone can have the secret!

Cartman, the show's iconic character, plays a wizard while the South Park kids play characters from a medieval fantasy world. As always in South Park, the children's games degenerate to unimaginable levels of madness... A madness to which Cartman naturally contributed in his disguise of a great wizard.

It should be noted, however, that the genesis of the "Great Wizard" Cartman dates back to an episode several seasons before the Black Friday saga, since it was then a parody of the Lord of the Rings. Since then, the South Park version of the Brotherhood of the Ring has gathered more participants. Enough so that the intrigues concerning them do not degenerate widely as it happens daily in South Park.

Cartman, as a great wizard, is obviously the leader of the Brotherhood as he was the leader when everyone was playing dress-up as superheroes. Always wanting to control everything, he obviously makes himself unpopular, especially with Princess Kenny, whose costume he does not accept. This will eventually lead to an antagonism of disproportionate proportions in a global war that is part child's play.

The great wizard Cartman is a double reference. On the one hand to Gandalf the Grey, the well-known wizard of the Lord of the Rings, but also to the title of Great Wizard that was given to the leader of the Ku Klux Klan. It will not be surprising that the name of his kingdom, the Kingdom Kupa Keep, in the game South Park: The Stick of Truth, will share the same initials as those of the Klan. Cartman, as usual, knows how to shock even in the most innocuous and insidious way!

The POP figurine of Cartman as the Great Wizard is in no way insignificant. Very faithful to the original, as it could not be otherwise, it represents perfectly Cartman in his wizard costume. This Funko POP South Park of Cartman as the Great Wizard respects every single color of his costume.

Because, indeed, the costume of the figurine multiplies the colors. Starting with a blue wizard hat on which a star has been awkwardly sewn in the middle of which you can find a smiley face pin. With the Funko POP Cartman Grand Sorcerer figure, we find the purple magician's robe to which is attached a cape of a blue tending to purple. Around Cartman's waist - very wide - is tied a belt with a blue purse while on his right hand, the Great Wizard Cartman brandishes a stick like a big twig from which he casts his spells. Obviously absurd and outrageous spells, as we can see in the game South Park: The Stick of Truth...
