POP action figure of Paladin Butters (The Stick of Truth) #32
Although he is very attached to his secret identity of Professor Chaos, Butters will eventually give up - in part - his role as a super villain and resign himself to a medieval-fantasy role-playing with his other South Park pals. He plays a minor, yet important and hilarious role in the famous Black Friday trilogy. Even in the role-playing games, Butters remains Cartman's trusted whipping boy and is then given missions by Cartman the Great Wizard.
His role as a paladin is not affirmed outside of the video game South Park: The Stick of Truth. During the Black Friday saga and especially during the episode of the Throne of Fion, Butters Paladin is sent to George Martin, author of the Iron Throne, in order to foresee the treasons to come. Butters Paladin will meet the author here presented as lecherous and will make the expenses of his salacious character.
Butters Paladin is also a playable character in the video game South Park: The Stick of Truth, apart from his appearance in the animated series South Park. As a paladin, his attacks range from frontal attacks to healing. Butters, prior to his role as a paladin, is not well known for his offensive nature. Rather naïve and harmless by nature, he will be attacked more often than not...As a paladin, Butters uses a hammer as a weapon, which he uses to throw or to attack in close combat. The choice of this weapon is not insignificant since the most famous character Butters likes to play in his role-playing games, Professor Chaos, is also armed with a hammer to punish his enemies. It's no surprise then that Butters, betraying his role as a paladin in the Stick of Truth game, would temporarily take on the role of Professor Chaos to carry out his attacks.
Also, Butters POP as a Paladin knows how to honor his role as an imaginary warrior by presenting him in his most beautiful finery. Colorful ornaments, referring to the colors that Butters usually wears. We also see him displaying a sad face, contrasting with his usual joviality. It must be said that his naive air only helps to encourage others to pick on him, which in itself tempers his happiness somewhat.
On the Butters Paladin Funko POP, he wears a tiara around his head, topped by his blond hair and a long blue tunic tending to turquoise, the same shade as his usual jacket. On this tunic has been engraved a badge resembling a police badge. A rope belt is tied around his tunic and a purple cape covers his shoulders and runs down his back.
In his right hand, Butters Paladin wields the hammer with which he dispenses justice when it's not Professor Chaos'!
