POP Voyager Moana (Moana)

Moana is the heroine of the Disney cartoon of the same name, which is inspired by a Polynesian legend according to which a goddess Te Fiti was at the origin of the creation of the world before taking the form of an island.

Moana is the daughter of the Tui tribe chief and is destined to take her place when she grows up. Even though she lives on an island, her father has always forbidden her to hang over the sea and go beyond the reef because the neighboring island is cursed and dangerous. Years later, the island is in danger, the coconut trees are dying, there are no more fish in the ocean. Moana then suggests to go beyond the reef to look for fish, which his father strictly forbids. Her grandmother Tala then reveals to her that the stone she found when she was a baby is the heart of Te Fiti.

Tala also reveals to her granddaughter the existence of a secret cave that hides many boats and explains to Moana that her ancestors were once great travelers before Te Fiti's heart was stolen. It is the evil power of Te Ka that is poisoning the island.

In order to restore order, the young woman will then go in search of the demigod Maui so that together they can restore Te Fiti's heart. She will succeed with the help of her two companions, the pig Pua, the rooster Hei Hei and of course Maui and his magic hook. At the end of the film, Moana's father finally accepts that she should go to sea more often like her travelling ancestors.

On this exclusive Pop! figurine, Moana is represented with her traveler's outfit. On this figurine, Moana is holding a paddle in her left hand, her other hand is resting on her hip. She is dressed in a beautiful Polynesian outfit made of a top and a flounced skirt in beige and coral colors.

Funko has beautifully represented the details of the skirt with a band of green and coral colored leaves reminiscent of her outfit. She wears around her neck the shell-shaped medallion that contained the heart of Te Fiti, given by her grandmother before she died. She also wears several jewels, a bracelet around her arm and one around her ankle made of flowers and shells. Finally, resting on her head and curly hair is a large wreath of white flowers and leaves.
