POP Maya Lopez (Hawkeye)

Maya Lopez made her appearance in the Hawkeye mini-series, and fans are eagerly awaiting her return in the "Echo" series dedicated to her. The young woman of Native American origins remains rather mysterious in the series. She runs a gang, and is herself in the service of one of New York's crime lords: the Kingpin.

If Maya goes after Kate Bishop and Clint Barton, it's because she's thirsty for revenge. Her father was killed by the Ronin years ago, and while the vigilante had disappeared, he seems to be resurfacing. What Maya doesn't yet know is that underneath the Ronin's costume is Kate Bishop, a young woman who simply stole the suit...

Over-trained in combat and determined to avenge her father, Maya launches her entire gang in pursuit of Kate and Clint, which makes for some great action scenes! As one of the series' antagonists, and creating an obvious bridge with other future Marvel series (Echo, Daredevil, etc.), it's only natural that Funko chose to immortalize the character in Funko POP.

Maya Lopez's POP shows the young woman in a fairly classic outfit with black pants and a leather jacket. It's worth noting that the young woman's outfit doesn't hint at the fact that she's a leg amputee following an accident when she was a child...

On the other hand, Funko has perfectly conveyed the character's determination: pistol in one fist, clenched fist in the other and frozen stare leave no doubt: Maya wants to finish off the Ronin! The POP also brings out the features of the actress who plays her, Alaqua Cox.
