POP Oswald Cobblepot (Chase) (The Batman)

The Penguin, whose real name is Oswald Cobblepot, is one of the godfathers of the Gotham mafia in the pay of Carmine Falcone. The two of them run the city, either through drug trafficking or by corrupting the elites like the Mayor, the Chief of Police or the Judge. If the Penguin's business is going well (especially since Maroni was sidelined from the drug trade before he was denounced and judged), things are going to get worse with the appearance of a serial killer determined to clean up Gotham.

The Riddler attacks the corrupt men of the city. Starting with the assassination of the Mayor on Halloween night, he starts a real puzzle game and reveals to the citizens of Gotham the damning evidence of all those he kills, justifying his fight for the "renewal" of Gotham. After Mayor Mitchell, it's the turn of the police chief, then of District Attorney Colson, before attacking Bruce Wayne (seriously injuring his butler Alfred) and even the big boss of the Gotham mafia Falcone.

Assisted by Lieutenant James Gordon, but also by Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Batman leads his investigation to try to unmask the Riddler. The Riddler is a gambler, leaving messages and riddles for the vigilante, convinced that they are on the same team against the corruption of Gotham...

To do this, they'll have to make the Pinguoin talk, but he's hard to stop. Holed up in his nightclub and surrounded by his bodyguards, the protagonists will take advantage of a deal to attack the Penguin head-on. This will result in one of the most spectacular scenes of The Batman movie with the chase between Penguin and the Batmobile.

For this POP Chase of Oswald Cobblepot alias Penguin, we find the character interpreted by Colin Farrell as we discover him in the film by Matt Reeves. With his bald head, his scar under his eye and his double chin, we recognize the criminal. His clothes contribute to the mafia universe of the character with his suit and tie, his suspenders that hold his pants and his severe attitude.

As a nod to the DC character, Funko has kept the accessory that best represents Penguin: his umbrella. If in the movie, it is not full of gadgets, it is still one of the markers of this Batman's enemy!

Finally, the Chase POP differs from the original version in one detail you can't miss: Penguin has dropped his black raincoat. We imagine that he has just returned to his nightclub from where he organizes all his traffic...
