POP Wing Dragon of Ra (Metallic & Supersized) (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

Of the three Egyptian god cards, many argue that one is even more powerful than the other two. Indeed, while Obelisk the Tormentor can strengthen himself by sacrificing allied monsters, while Slifer is capable of a second attack, the Winged Dragon of Ra conceals another secret ability that is even more formidable.

Because of its overpowered nature, the Winged Dragon of Ra card is a natural fit in Marik's deck. Marik, after having been the guardian of the Pharaoh's tomb for too long, costing him dearly, will seek revenge on the Pharaoh with one of the cards charged with protecting him. The Winged Dragon of Ra, then, is the avenging sword of a man in the grip of a bitter revenge. A sword so powerful that even the Pharaoh fears it.

Marik will use the Winged Dragon of Ra for the first time during the final quarter of Battle City. He never imagined that he would have to use such a card to defeat Mai Valentine. In the semifinals, he used it again against Joey, who narrowly missed defeating an Egyptian god by using his usual non-divine cards.

It is during the final that the Winged Dragon of Ra will reveal his potential against the Pharaoh. A potential that allows him to continually reincarnate, making his destruction virtually impossible. The Pharaoh, however, will discover the loophole to finally defeat Marik and seize the Winged Dragon of Ra. A card he will use in addition to the two other Egyptian god cards in his final battle with Yugi.
