POP Black Luster Soldier (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

Yugi Muto, in his adventures, will naturally have been helped by his allies and friends who never failed to accompany him in the toughest stages of his journey. But in addition to his precious friends, Yugi also relied on an "arsenal" of monsters that he had to make the most of in order to face his opponents in a monster duel.

Each character's deck in Yu-Gi-Oh had iconic cards that corresponded to a specific duelist. Just as the Blue Eyes White Dragon will immediately remind us of Seto Kaiba, or Baby Dragon will remind us of Joey Wheeler's strategies, Yugi, as the main character, had a plethora of monster cards that were used in duels.

While the Dark Magician was his signature card, it was not necessarily the most powerful card at his disposal. Yugi, in fact, had an "ace" up his sleeve which, if he will use it very rarely, will always be used on purpose when the circumstances require it. Indeed, the Black Luster Soldier is like a hidden asset that is only used as a last resort to finish off an opponent in a "Duel Monster" match.

This one, with 3000 attack points and 2500 defense points, has the same statistics as the famous and feared White Dragon with Blue Eyes. The only difference is that the Black Luster Soldier is not summoned on the same terms. Although it has eight stars - which would normally require the sacrifice of two monsters on the field to be summoned - it is a ritual card. This means that in order to summon it, the player must have the Black Luster Soldier card in hand and play the Ritual of the Black Luster magic card. Thus, the player will only have to sacrifice monsters whose star total is equal to eight, whether these sacrificial monsters are in hand or on the field.

Thanks to this powerful card, Yugi managed to defeat Mai during his duel on Pegasus Island. Yami Yugi, in the final arc, will have this card in his ultimate deck in his very last duel but will not have the opportunity to use it.

The Funko POP figure of the Black Luster Soldier has some particularities. This figurine, indeed, is like a knight whose armor is very elaborate. Indeed, true to the Duel Monster it is supposed to represent, the Black Luster Soldier figure shows off all the assets of his uniform.

With a darkened face, the Black Luster Soldier POP figure wears a colorful armor of dark blue with gold outlines and some red jewels to multiply the classy ornaments. Thus, the Black Luster Soldier Funko POP appears in his most sumptuous assets, with the serious and determined face that we know, all covered by a helmet with horns at its ends.
