POP action figure of Silent Swordsman LVO #1063

It's a common misconception that the Dark Wizard is Yugi's go-to card. Sure, Dark Wizard is the card that will win him many duels and is naturally associated with Yugi's deck. Except that this deck, in reality, is primarily that of the Pharaoh who inhabits his Millennium Puzzle.

You'd think you'd have forgotten it by now, but most of Yugi's duels are actually fought by Yami Yugi, the spirit that inhabits his Millennium item and takes possession of the high schooler in order to wage fierce duels.

Also, the Dark Wizard is the signature card of the Pharaoh. This will be established in the final arc where we will discover that the card was inspired by one of the Pharaoh's closest advisors, who sacrificed himself for him. The link that unites the Pharaoh to this card, then, is much more intense than the interest that Yugi may have for it.

But if the Dark Wizard is not Yugi's favorite card, what is the central card on which his deck rests? We'll find out at the very end of the manga, when Yugi and the Pharaoh, then separated from each other, will be brought to confront each other during a game of Duel Monsters. Yugi, from then on, will have to put forward his new deck, this one having been built without the help of the Pharaoh. With this deck, then, Yugi will face not only the Dark Wizard who had once been his most loyal ally, but also the three Egyptian god cards.

To defeat this ultimate deck, then, Yugi relied on a deck of his own. Indeed, Yugi, at the base, does not rely on powerful monsters but on monsters with ingenious effects. This is especially true of his main card: The Silent Spadassin LV0. This one is the base of his duel strategy, the same strategy that he managed to put in place to defeat the Egyptian Gods. The Silent Spadassin LV0, by fulfilling a condition, can evolve each time he kills an opposing monster. Thus, the Silent Spadassin LV0 becomes the Silent Spadassin LV1, then 2, then 3... until reaching the rank of the fearsome Silent Spadassin LV9, devious enough to defeat even the most powerful monsters.

Also, the Funko POP Silent Spadassin LV0 figure is perfectly in line with the original. Like all Yugi cards, the Silent Spadassin LV0 figure has a design that is both original and related to some Dungeons and Dragons imagery redesigned by Kazuki Takahashi. As a result, the Silent Spadassin LV0 POP figure wears a Viking helmet with a futuristic design that covers the spadassin's right eye.

With an oddly shaped long blade and a long white coat trimmed in blue, the Silent Spadassin LV0 Funko POP looks almost cute. That's only because it's still on a low level. Because when the Funko POP Silent Spadassin LV0 reaches level 9, then, this one will appear as more formidable than ever.
