The Sword in the Stone is the 22nd film by Walt Disney. Released in 1963, the movie is about the legend of King Arthur and the magician Merlin the Enchanter. Funko had only offered one POP from this Disney movie (Madame Mim #1037), but has just unveiled 5 new POPs featuring the characters.
The story follows the journey of a young boy who is nicknamed Mosquito. He is in fact Arthur I of Brittany, the secret heir of the King of England. Arthur is employed by Sire Hector and secretly dreams of one day becoming a squire. During a meeting with the magician Merlin, the latter takes the young boy under his wing. Various adventures will lead him to London where there is a rock with a sword that only the future King of England will be able to extract. Naturally, it is Arthur who will succeed and will be able to restore peace in his kingdom.
For this announcement, we find the POP of Arthur, the one of Merlin with his owl Archimedes as well as three POPs with the effigy of Madame Mim including a Supersized POP where she has the shape of a dragon and which is also available in Chase version.
