Announcement Coming Soon

Disney is celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of its most iconic films, retracing the story of Robin Hood with anthropomorphic characters. For the occasion, a whole new wave of figurines (which, it has to be said, has dusted off the Robin Hood POP set, the last of which dated from 2014) with no fewer than 6 characters very faithful to the cartoon.
Sherwood's most famous archer is back in Funko POP, but he's not alone: other characters, both good and bad, join the set for our greatest pleasure.
The line-up unveiled by Funko includes 6 new figures:
- Friar Tuck (#1436), dressed in his monk's habit and shown with hands clasped in a warm smile.
- Little John (#1437), the stalwart ally Robin Hood can always count on. Appearing as a brown bear in the cartoon, he wears an outfit very similar to the archer's, with the same little feather on top of his hat.
- POP #1438 of Funko's beautifully immortalized Marianne with her wide head veil and long purple dress. Her smile suggests she's just met Robin Hood again.
- Prince John is not missing from the picture (POP #1439), as the lion dressed as a king struggles to wear his crown, reminiscent of the character's laughability in the cartoon.
- POP #1440 of Robin Hood, of course, in the guise of the young fox. The figurine is particularly faithful to the character, with its green archer's outfit, pointed hat and indispensable bow. Every detail is perfect, from the arrows on Robin's back to his mischievous smile.
- Finally, POP #1441 of the Sheriff of Nottingham with his star proudly displayed on his chest. Funko has particularly captured the character's treacherous gaze, as well as his red-and-purple outfit.
A very complete 2024 set, even if fans will have noted (and regretted) the absence of Sir Hiss... The serpent bewitcher synonymous with mockery and sarcasm. This is quite surprising, since Funko had offered a POP of this character in the original set - perhaps an announcement to come in a special edition!
Funko POP Disney fans in particular will be delighted by this announcement. Indeed, this classic cartoon only had 4 figurines, and they dated back to 2014 - so much for the style of the very first generation POPs... which were almost impossible to find. With this release (scheduled for early January 2024), fans will be able to add the most famous archer and his faithful companions to their Disney POPs.
