Great announcement for Marvel fans and especially Spider-Man as Funko has unveiled a new "assemble" set of 7 POP. The seven figures will be assembled and the set is named "Sinister 6" in homage to the 6 super villains who were the greatest enemies of Spider-Man. You guessed it, the seventh POP of the set will be Spider-Man!
Riding on the success of the release of Spider-Man No Way Home where the gang of super villains led by Doctor Octopus are unfortunatly brought back to life by Doctor Strange, Funko proposes an exceptional set featuring the Sinister Six gang facing Peter Parker.
The first POP has been revealed and it is the leader of the gang: Doctor Octopus with his green suit, his sunglasses, his bowl cut and especially his terrible mechanical arms. Funko also lets us guess the profile of the other POPs that will make up the set since among Spider-Man's enemies, some are particularly easy to recognize.... Mysterio's helmet, the Vulture's wings or even the Sandman's imposing fists for example!
If Funko starts with Octopus, it's because he's the one who gathered the 5 other super villains with a well established plan: to confront Spider-Man at the same time in order to weaken him a little more with each fight to beat him. Doctor Octopus will be his last opponent, but do you think he'll be able to defeat Spider-Man?
As with all Assemble, the POPs are on stands that will attach to each other to create a scene that promises to be up to the task. The Sinister Six set is a perfect fit for Spider-Man's sixtieth anniversary and is sure to please the fans.
