Just like last year, Funko is kicking off the Halloween season a little early by unveiling the new releases now. The event takes place from May 24 to 28, and the brand should announce no less than forty new POPs on the theme of horror!
The first day starts very strong with about ten POPs presented, in various universes since we can find Disney as well as a Jaws POP, or even Scooby-Doo...
Back in details on the announcements of this first day of Funkoween 2021:
- A Scooby-Doo 3-pack from the Hex Girls (Thorn, Dusk and Luna), the gothic rock band that helps Scooby-Doo and his gang solve a mystery at a music festival;
- An onslaught of Disney villains - the ones we love to hate and love to POP - with no less than 14 new Disney POPs: Ursula on her throne, The Evil Queen on her throne, Captain Hook, Lady Tremaine, Maleficent, Cruella, another POP of the Evil Queen (Queen Grimhilde), the Supersized 10'' of Maleficent as a Dragon (also available in Glow in the Dark), Hades holding the chessboard, Doctor Facilier, Maleficent on her throne in Diamond Glitter version and finally another POP of Doctor Facilier with a skull ;
- The GITD and Diamond Glitter POP of Elvira to celebrate her 40th birthday, wearing her long red dress;
- Dani Dennison's POP holding Binx from Hocus Pocus;
- 3 new POPs of the central character of Halloween: Michael Myers, including a Supersized 10" with a trace of blood on his mask;
- An exceptional Jaws’ Movie Moment POP where the shark attacks Quint! The POP is magnificent with the sea raging in the background, the boat ready to capsize and a shark as terrifying as in the movie!
