After launching a series of POP figures dedicated to Formula 1 racing, Funko has just unveiled a new surprise for fans of the sport: Funko POP Rides. So far, 3 figurines have been announced, featuring the hottest drivers of the moment.
It's impossible for F1 fans to miss out on these magnificent figurines, perfect Funko POP reproductions of today's greatest champions. In honor of the 74th edition of the 2023 championship, Funko has decided to launch Formula 1 POP Rides in which the vehicle takes center stage just as much as the driver.
Naturally, the set features two-time world champion Max Verstappen, who is literally crushing the championship with his Red Bull team. In the same stable, Funko also offers the POP Rides of Mexican Checo Pérez. Finally, the last POP Rides is dedicated to Sir Lewis Hamilton in his Mercedes-AMG Petronas, where we discover the British driver, seven-time world champion (co-record shared with the legend Michael Schumacher) serene as usual.
For these POP Rides, Funko has focused not only on the details of the racing cars, but also on the features of the drivers' faces and outfits. The result? POP Rides that make great collector's items, and that are sure to evolve with the various championships to come. Can we even imagine Funko reviving a few F1 legends aboard their cars?
Time will tell, but right now Funko seems determined to give Formula 1 figurines their due. After dozens of NASCAR POPs, this is certainly a sign that F1 is now well established in the USA! At present, fans can choose between :
- collect POPs of the drivers, in their suits flocked in the colors of the various teams;
- collect F1 cars with the drivers at the wheel!
