Announcement Coming Soon
Published on 22 September 2021 by William
A huge surprise for the Jurassic Park fans who were desperate to discover new POPs featuring the characters and dinosaurs of Steven Spielberg's trilogy since Funko has just unveiled a new figurine featuring a more than unexpected character...
This announcement is exceptional because it is (only) the second time that Funko publishes new Jurassic Park POP. All of them were released in November 2018 and only the "Clever Girl" velociraptor POP had brought some novelty in 2020. Now, here is the latest Jurassic Park figure: the one of Mr. DNA!
This may be surprising since it is not really a character... But fans will not be mistaken and will love to collect this POP of Mr. DNA, the one who explains us for the first time in the movie how John Hammond and his teams managed to bring back to life a species extinct for thousands of years.
You remember the scene? We're in the park's studio where visitors watch the video demonstration explaining how the Jurassic Park lab recreated dinosaurs from fossilized mosquitoes containing dinosaur blood. Mr. DNA is the little animated character who demonstrates this exceptional process and plays a major role as the "missing" link in the reconstitution of the DNA of the various dinosaurs.
The POP of the character is very successful, with a translucent effect on his head. His body is made of the DNA links while he has big yellow hands (with 4 fingers!). His face is animated with a big smiling mouth and thick eyebrows that allow to transcribe his emotions during the video demonstration of the park.
In summary, Funko has surprised us with a Jurassic Park POP that is neither one of the visitors nor one of the dinosaurs, and it is a total success that will be unanimously appreciated by the fans! Let's hope now that this announcement will be followed by others to enlarge our Jurassic Park POP collection. To date, with the Mr. DNA POP, we now have a total of 14 Jurassic Park POP figures.
