Two figures have been announced for November 2026, and Funko understood exactly where the joke was. Ranma's Chase shows him in his female form, while Akane comes with P-chan tucked under her arm. Both figures revolve around the Jusenkyo curses.
A release timed with season 3, streaming from October 3
MAPPA's Ranma ½ remake returns for its third season on Saturday, October 3, 2026 on Netflix, with one episode released each week and Konosuke Uda directing.
Funko is therefore launching its wave in November, just a few weeks after the season premiere, while the series is still firmly in the spotlight. And the choice of these two characters is no coincidence: season 3 focuses on the confrontation between Ranma and Ryoga, who learns the Bakusai Tenketsu technique. And Ryoga is P-chan. So the second figure in the wave literally puts the season's antagonist in the heroine's arms.
Ranma – POP #2543: the Chase recreates his transformation
Funko's catalog lists the standard version as Pop! Ranma (Floral Dress), standing 9.1 cm tall and available from €15.99 at French retailers.
But it is the Chase that makes this release particularly interesting. Funko spells it out clearly: « There's a 1 in 6 chance you may find the chase variant of POP! Ranma as a girl. » In other words, there is a one-in-six chance of opening the box and finding Ranma in his female form.
It is probably the best possible use of the Chase mechanic for this license. The entire series revolves around an involuntary transformation: cold water turns Ranma into a girl, while hot water turns him back into a boy. A figure where you do not know which of the two forms you will get until you open the box perfectly translates the character's concept into a collectible.
No standalone price has been listed for the Chase by French retailers, which is common for this type of variant.
Akane with P-chan – POP #2544: two characters for the price of one
Official name: Pop! Akane with P-Chan. The youngest daughter of the Tendo dojo stands 9.7 cm tall, starts at €15.99, and comes with the little black pig clinging to her.
For anyone who has never watched the series, it is simply a figure of a girl with her pet. For everyone else, it represents one of the longest-running jokes in Ranma ½: P-chan is not actually a pig, but Ryoga Hibiki, who was also cursed at Jusenkyo and transforms whenever he comes into contact with cold water. Akane unknowingly adopts him and even lets him sleep in her bed. Ryoga, who is in love with her, says nothing. Ranma knows the truth and regularly uses it against him.
Putting P-chan in Akane's arms therefore manages to depict an entire love triangle in a ten-centimeter figure. Few POPs manage to pack in quite that much.
Two figures, two curses
That is what makes this mini-wave more coherent than it initially appears. Funko has not simply released two characters; it has released two curses.
Ranma fell into the Spring of Drowned Girl, while Ryoga fell into the Spring of Drowned Black Pig. Both figures in the wave are built around the same narrative device, and the Chase turns that concept into something the buyer can experience directly. It is rare for a two-figure wave to have such a clear theme.
It remains to be seen whether Funko will continue the line. Shampoo, Mousse and Genma, all of whom are cursed as well, would be obvious choices if the range expands after season 3.
What to look for
With only two figures in the wave, there is not much of a question about which one to prioritize: you really need both. The real target is the Chase, with its one-in-six ratio, which could become the most sought-after piece in the license if season 3 performs as well as the previous seasons.
One practical tip: for releases like this, retailers selling the Chase separately generally charge three to four times the price of the standard version. Pre-ordering the regular figure and trying your luck remains the most reasonable option. Release scheduled for November 2026.
