Harry Potter is the main character of the series of fantasy novels written by J.K. Rowling, telling the adventures of the young wizard. When he was only one year old, Harry's parents were killed by the terrible wizard Voldemort. Harry was then entrusted by Dumbledore to his mother's sister, Petunia Dursley, a Muggle. That is how he grew up among the Dursleys until he was 11 years old. On his birthday, Hagrid comes to pick him up and brings him a letter of admission to the prestigious Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, telling him that he is a sorcerer and that his parents did not die in a car accident but were killed. Harry leaves the Dursley house to discover a whole new world of magic at Hogwarts. He is first accompanied by Hagrid to shop for school supplies on Traverse Road. There he buys a certain magic wand containing a phoenix feather inside, the twin wand of Voldemort's, the one that left that lightning scar on his forehead. The same day, Hagrid gives him his first birthday present: a snowy owl, which he will call Hedwige. In the Hogwarts Express that takes him to the doors of the magic school, he meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, two sorcerer's apprentices who will become his best friends.

He then discovers that Voldemort is not completely dead, the latter very weakened since his confrontation with Harry when he was a baby. He tries by all means to regain power and take human form. Harry, along with his two friends, will face many dangers during his studies at Hogwarts. At the end of his second year, Harry finds himself in danger from Basil, a giant snake, in the Chamber of Secrets. During the battle between Harry and Basil, Dumbledore's phoenix, Fumseck catches Basil's eye. Then Harry retrieves Gryffindor's sword through the Magic Hat brought by Fumseck. This sword is a relic of Godric Gryffindor, the eponymous founder of the house. This sword is available from the Fumseck for anyone who needs it as long as the person is a worthy student of the House of Gryffindor at Hogwarts. Harry pierces the palace of the giant snake with the sword and kills it.
