POP Michonne (The Walking Dead)

Michonne is one of the iconic characters in the hit series The Walking Dead. After losing all members of her family to the epidemic, Michonne creates a warrior's shell to survive in the apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. At once ruthless and pragmatic, Michonne will be presented at first as a rather reserved character. Over time, Michonne befriends a woman named Andrea, with whom she survives an entire winter. She quickly meets Rick Grimes, who will later become her companion. Very discreet about her past, Michonne is not very talkative and it takes a while before she is integrated into Rick's group.

The Walking Dead takes place in a universe in which humanity is plunged into chaos and terror by horrible creatures called "walkers". Until then plunged into a coma, Rick Grimes, the main character of the series, discovers upon waking up that the whole world has been hit by an unknown epidemic. Surrounded by many mysteries, this epidemic has the specificity of transforming humans into the undead, called "walkers" in the series.

The character of Michonne appeared for the first time in season 2 of The Walking Dead. Accompanied by two lurkers on a leash, Michonne immediately makes a great impression on viewers. However, it is only in season 3 that she will be officially recognized as a full member of Rick's band. Michonne's exceptional fighting skills will serve the group well time and time again. Over the course of the story, Rick and Michonne had a child, whom they named Rick Grimes Junior. After Rick's death, Michonne also took Rick's presumed daughter, Judith Grimes, under her wing. Later, Michonne would discover that Rick was still alive, and set out north to search for him. Since that event, there has been no news from Michonne.
