POP Berlin (La Casa de Papel)

Berlin, whose real name is Andres de Fonollosa Gonzalves, is one of the robbers of the Casa de Papel. Leader of the group, he asserts his authority over the other members with his narcissistic and self-centred nature.

Berlin is a multi-recidivist robber wanted by the police. His list of accomplishments includes jewellery store robberies, attacks on armoured vans and auction robberies. Attacking luxury goods, works of art and bank money, Berlin is the perfect embodiment of the white-collar thief.

The character is nevertheless far from a Robin Hood... In addition to being proud, narcissistic, misogynistic and unpleasant, Berlin develops a megalomania that will push him further and further without seeing the limits of good and evil.

In the first season of Casa de Papel, we learn that Berlin suffers from a disease: Helmer's muscular dystrophy. This forces him to inject himself with retroxil every hour. Nevertheless, being in a terminal phase, Berlin adopts the behaviour of a person who has nothing left to lose, which will have a violent impact on the hostages and other members of the group of robbers since Berlin will go so far as to break the rule that the Professor has set: no blood.

The Berlin POP figure represents the robber in his red outfit. He is standing in a certain position, fists clenched and face closed. Although the outfit is the same for all the robbers at Casa de Papel to make identification more difficult, Berlin still wears a silver watch on his left wrist.

Finally Berlin, just like the Tokyo figure, wears a weapon. Indeed, he has a shoulder holster allowing him to keep his handgun on him.
