La Casa de Papel El Profesor #0915 Funko Pop! figure

The Professor is the mastermind of the series La Casa de Papel. He is the organizer of the robbery and the one who is going to put together and train the team to carry out the plan he has been preparing for years: infiltrate the national currency and stamp factory, lock himself in for a few days, print 2.4 billion euros in small denominations and come out with the money!

The Professor, whose real name is Sergio Marquina, is a calm and reserved man. His intelligence, organization, sense of observation and ability to anticipate events make him a thief who is equal to the robbery of Casa de Papel. We will learn that this talent actually comes from his father, himself a robber, who, when Sergio was just a child, used to tell him stories of robberies (in fact, the real stories of his robberies...).

The Professor is the only character in the plan who won't enter the factory. He is the guardian angel who watches over the plan from the outside. To achieve his goal, the Professor is ready to overcome his shyness and what could be described as a slight social phobia to the point of forming a romantic relationship with the police inspector in charge of arresting the robbers Raquel Murillo.

Funko pays tribute to the Professor in an unusual outfit. If we're used to seeing him in a suit and tie, as in the Professor's first POP, this time he's portrayed dressed in a clown costume. It is in this outfit that the Professor infiltrates a hospital, pretexting an animation for children, in order to spy on the policeman Angel who would have come out of his coma.

It's in this very atypical style for the Professor (usually shy and very sober in his outfit) that this figurine represents him: top hat on his head, white foundation on his face, red nose, orange wig and aviator glasses to mask his eyes, this disguise is mythical of season 2 of Casa de Papel! The Professor is dressed in dark trousers, leather gloves and his burgundy weight jacket.

On the accessories side, Funko has pushed the detail on this POP of the Professor with the rabbit he is holding in his hand. A somewhat deformed rabbit since the Professor hid a camera in it to film what's going on in Angel's hospital room! Also the rabbit has a nice scar on its belly and an eye that is none other than the camera lens.

On this figurine, the Professor is standing in the image of the scene where he presents the rabbit to the little boy in the hospital, ready to do his tap-dancing act!
