POP Jack (Titanic)

Jack Dawson, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is one of the main characters in Titanic. This young man, a vagabond and without money, wins his ticket to board the huge liner during a poker game.

As he escapes from his third-class cabin to get some fresh air on the ship, Jack saves a young woman he is about to fall in love with from suicide. Rose DeWitt Bukater comes from a wealthy family and travels first class with her mother and fiancé. Promised to an arranged marriage in order to maintain her social status, Rose is more than unhappy. While her future husband barely considers her an object, she dreams of a life full of happiness and adventure. This is what she finds in Jack and begins to imagine the life that the two lovebirds could create for themselves once they arrive in New York.

When Rose's fiancé learns that Jack has saved Rose and that a bond has been created between them, Rose's fiancé decides to invite Jack to a first class dinner to thank him. In reality, it is mainly an opportunity for him to denigrate the young man who is not from that background. It is this scene that Funko chose to represent Jack Dawson's POP in Titanic since we find the character dressed in the costume he was lent for the occasion!

Jack's POP Titanic figure represents him in his magpie tail costume, symbol of male elegance in the 1900s. Entirely black, his costume brings out the white shirt of the young man as well as his bow tie melted on his shirt.

We recognize the features of the actor Leonardo DiCaprio who plays Jack in Titanic: a young blond man, his hair plated back and his very youthful face. The character's posture on the POP also reminds us of the scene in the film: Jack stands perfectly straight, his right arm stretched out along his body and his left hand in his back, ready to take Rose's arm to escort him to their table!
