POP Toshi (Around The World)

Toshi is a Japanese samurai who joins the ranks of POP Around The World and the very closed clan of Freddy Funko's friends. Naturally, Toshi takes us to discover Japan through different aspects of its traditions and customs.

First of all Toshi himself, since he is a shiba-inu dog, a dog of Japanese breed. With the POP of Rosa, the Mexican xolo, as well as the POP of Barkingham, the English bulldog, he is the 3rd POP Around The World to be a dog!

Toshi is therefore a small dog (literally the translation of inu and shiba in Japanese), proud to wear the armor of the samurai. We note on Toshi's POP the importance of the details that make up the armor, with for example Toshi's helmet, called kabuto, which has a frontal ornament but also all the other parts that make up the armor.

Funko even went so far as to represent the waraki, Japanese sandals made from straps and ropes and particularly appreciated at the time for their solidity.

Finally, as a seasoned samurai, Toshi holds two katanas in his hands, ready to defend his shogun at any time if necessary. This POP Around The World transports us, thanks to its many details, into Japanese traditions and Toshi honours his country and his rank of samurai.
